Here are the first two editions of the "Steadhelm Sentinel". More will follow:
Scandal Strikes the Bridge Inn!!!!
In its years since opening, the Bridge Inn has brought a standard of hospitality hitherto confined to Cyrodiil to travellers through our remote region. But yesterday it was engulfed in controversy over accusations by one of its patrons, a certain Arterius, Master Wizard of the Mages' Guild, Caldera, that its justly famous cooking was in fact magically enhanced.
"My suspicions were first aroused when I read a review of the place's food, from this very newspaper I might add, pinned to the signpost outside the inn," Mr Arterius explained, "It said, and I quote, 'the beef stew is absolutely magical'. Nobody ever says things like that. Not seriously."
The proprietor of the Bridge Inn, Mr Halof Jolgeir, originally of Skyrim, violently denied the accusation, going so far as to throw several chairs at our reporter as she attempted to interview him. As she ran from the establishment, she understood him to be shouting that it was "all lies, damn lies, that bastard's got it in for me, I tell you he has."
Arterius denied he had any personal grudge against Mr Halof Jolgeir, claiming that he was merely fulfilling his Mages' Guild pledge to public service. "I noticed the reek of the enchantments on that place as soon as they brought it out of the kitchen. It was my duty to inform the authorities. With the amount of spells they were casting on that food, they could have sold their customers a heap of steaming alit turds and it would still have tasted divine."
Mr Jolgeir requested that we add that the Council has not yet decided whether to formally investigate his establishment. The Bridge Inn will remain open for business in the meantime.
Outrageous Fight at the Rusty Guar!!!!
Sensational scenes last night at the Rusty Guar Inn, as the tavern's quiet, law-abiding regulars were disturbed by a fight the likes of which this placid town has not seen since the turbulent days of its founding.
"I've never seen anything like it," said the publican, Sten, "Not in all my long years of running this place. I knew I should never have let that wizard in. He was trouble, I knew it the moment I laid eyes on him."
The wizard in question, which unconfirmed reports named as one Mr Arterius, recently renowned for his involvement in the Bridge Inn enchantment scandal, was unavailable for comment. However details of the incident were supplied by several witnesses.
"It's a nice quiet place, cosy like, that's why I come here," explained one of the regulars, who wished to remain anonymous, "So you can imagine how I felt when this big Nord, Jolgeir I think it was - you know, the one who runs that big inn out of town - storms in and starts shouting up the stairs for that mage to come down and face him. I reckon he'd had a skinful before he arrived, if you ask me."
Mr Arterius apparently did answer Mr Jolgeir's calls, and descended to the lobby, where they had a heated exchange for several minutes before Mr Jolgeir punched the other several times in the face. They grappled for some time, resisting all attempts to pull them apart, before Mr Arterius decisively ended the fight by casting a spell on his opponent that turned his trousers into leeks, taking advantage of his confusion to lay him out with a skillful uppercut.
"He brushed off his sleeves and walked out of the door, just like that," added another witness. Mr Jolgeir refused to meet our reporter when contacted at the Bridge Inn, and declined to comment on the rumours of his involvement.

I guess he's probably taken it down now to avoid negative publicity... but it's quite a good idea. I might write a few reviews of restaurants in the Steadhelm area as extras to the main seven episodes.

Taken a look over these brilliant editions and would like to point out a few errors.
Outrageous Fight at the Rusty Guar! (Only one exclamation is needed, same applies to previous edition)

As for the number of exclamation points, it depends on the picture the broadsheet is intended to paint: is it a sober portrayal of events, or a sensationalistic tabloid? For Murcans, think New York Times versus National Enquirer. Multiple points would be appropriate for a tabloid, but not for a "paper of record."

Always good to have some feedback. Thanks for pointing out the commas mistake, these things can be hard to spot. I think I'll leave the exclamations though, since it's supposed to be a tabloid, as sacarrow said.

Local Innkeeper on to be put on Trial!
The past week has not been a good one for renowned local entrepreneur Halof Jolgeir, proprietor of the luxurious Bridge Inn. Just months after recieving the coveted Golden Guar award from the Soluthis Chamber of Commerce for excellence in the hospitality industry, Mr Jolgeir has in a single week been accused of magically tainting food and involved in a brawl with his accuser, a Mr Arterius of Caldera, Vvardenfell.
Today Mr Jolgeir was remanded before the Steadhelm District Court on charge of six counts of breaches of trade description and one of unauthorised magic usage. A separate charge of assault against Mr Arterius was yesterday dismissed by the Court on grounds of extreme provocation.
Jolgeir furiously denied all the charges against him, vowing to fight "All the way to the Court of the Emperor's Bench in Cyrodiil if need be!" In an interview after the hearing, he accused Mr Arterius of "malicious slander motivated by envy." The trial will begin at an unconfirmed date in the next three weeks, after the conclusion of the Mages' Guild's investigation into the alleged magical enhancement of the Bridge Inn's food.
In a surprising twist to the story, our investigative reporters yesterday discovered via a contact in Winterhold, Skyrim, that Mr Arterius is in fact the estranged brother of Mr Jolgeir's ex-wife, formerly Gelendria Arterius.
